Add an image
Images are key elements of websites. When a site is created with BackBee, default images are already present on the site. You can
- Change images already placed in the pages
- Add new image blocks to the desired locations
To change the images already placed in the pages:
- Open the page where the image should be changed
- Place the mouse over the image that needs to be changed
- Several buttons appear, click on the image icon at the bottom right
A popup appears showing your computer’s folders:
- Go to the folder where the image to be added is located
- Select image
- Click "Open"
The image replaces of the previous one.
To add new image block:
- Open the page where the image should be added
- Place the mouse where the new image is to be added
- Click "Add content"
A popup with all the available contents appears:
- Click on the Image block
A gray area appears. This is where the image can be added.
- Place the mouse over the image to be added. Several buttons appear
- Click on the image icon at the bottom right
A popup appears showing your computer’s folders:
- Open the folder where the image to be added is located
- Select image
- Click "Open"
The image is added to the page.
Good to know
Images can be added or modified with a simple "drag-and-drop".
- Choose an image on the computer.
- Put the image location where the image is to be added
- Click on the image, hold the click and move the image above the image slot
- Release click
The image is added to the page
Pay attention to the weight of the images!
On the web, as soon as an image exceeds 200 KB, it can be considered heavy.
If an image takes too long to load, Google or other search engines will not scan the page and the visitor may leave the site without waiting for the loading to complete. See SEO for images
